THE PROJECT:
We are so thrilled to have Denise Stewart leading this project on Monday nights at City of Refuge! She is teaching lessons on famous artists and then teaching that famous artist's technique. (Artists include Van Gogh, Matisse, and Lascaux Caves, France)
We are looking for volunteers!
Here is the breakdown of time:
15 minutes group time where they discuss art, the project, possibly reading, and just getting to know each other
30 minutes of working on the project
15 minuets of clean-up and closing
THE ORGANIZATION:
Restoration ATL serves the women and children that live on campus at Atlanta's largest women and children's shelter, the City of Refuge. They lead all children's programming on campus and run the after school center for elementary-aged children through a partnership with Georgia State University. They would love to incorporate more art into their after school programming, especially for their younger students. Their children range in age from 5-11, but their greatest programming need is for the 5-8 age group.
SOUND LIKE FUN?
