Camp Peace is offered by the Women's Resource Center to End Domestic Violence for children who have witnessed violence used toward and/or abuse of their mother. Some children have experienced violence or abuse themselves. Paint Love is starting a new residency program in partnership with Camp Peace at our studio on Legacy Park in Decatur, GA. Together we will do regulation activities, movement, and process-based art. A past project with our friends at Camp Peace includes Paint Love artist Candace Caston, leading a color association project that asked the group to assign emotions to colors. Some responses we received were “Orange makes me feel funny” and “Green makes me feel grounded.”
