Camp Peace is offered by the Women's Resource Center to End Domestic Violence for children who have witnessed violence used toward and/or abuse of their mother. Some children have experienced violence or abuse themselves. Every summer, we do projects that empower and encourage youth to identify emotions, build community, and promote creativity. Last summer, Paint Love artist Candace Caston led a beautiful project asking groups to assign emotions to colors. Some responses we received were “Orange makes me feel funny” and “Green makes me feel grounded.”
