Meet Colette!
I am a rising senior in high school at the Atlanta Girls’ School. I’m passionate about access to education and after college I hope to work with a nonprofit or NGO that serves children. I am also a firm believer in the value of all forms of art. I lead a Feminist Literature Club that reads and discusses influential writing by women from around the world in an effort to diversify the demographic of authors read in school. Additionally, I perform on aerial silks with a group called Earth to Sky Performance Co., which creates aerial shows written and choreographed entirely by teens. I’m inspired by Paint Love’s dedication to bringing art education to as many children as possible and I love seeing the immeasurable joy that our projects bring to the youth we serve.
Meet Jane!
I initially found out about Paint Love through my mom who works for Jesse’s House, a non profit that provides a safe and nurturing environment for adolescent girls. I have been raised in a family that loves art and embraces empathy and compassion. Paint Love is an organization that encompasses these qualities and is committed to benefiting the lives of others through art. I am very grateful to have the opportunity to be a part of this organization.

Meet Maya!
When I discovered Paint Love and their mission, I knew I had to take advantage of the internship opportunity IMMEDIATELY! I appreciate their efforts to help poorly funded schools and less fortunate children growing up in poverty stricken areas. This hits home for me as I too grew up (and still reside) in a low income community. I knew Paint Love would guide me in the path of my ultimate dream to replenish the arts and uplift the children in my community. I want to pave an extensive outlet for them which I didn't have the privilege of outside of my own creative space. Especially with the budget cuts and lack of ample resources in our art classrooms. Paint Love will also nurture me in my personal career as an artists and allow me to network with other amazing artists and professionals within the community!
