The Project
Paint Love Artist and TCP resident Zipporah Camille Thompson and Paint Love Art-Therapy intern, Jennifer Morrison, will be leading students at Brockett Elementary School. Part one of the project was a 2-d mural (completed in 2018). Part two will be working on ceiling tiles with Jennifer (February dates), and part three (March dates)
The School
Brockett Elementary School is a diverse Title I school located in Tucker, GA. Brockett's students, staff, parents and community members are dedicated to Brockett's success. Success that includes academics as well as developing responsible, caring citizens. Brockett's student population is approximately 446 students. A third of their students are English Language Learners and 80% of receive free/reduce lunch. Their community is extremely diverse therefore the student body is diverse, too.
